The best madam in high circles? And she acts petty and small-minded, never verifies gossip and is overall just arrogant bit*hy lady?
A real well mannered and confident noble would find many ways to test or put somebody in their place without this 3rd rate act… Seems the author has knowledge and imagination of a baby reading Cinderella
