She was bullied by adults, and as much as it pain me to say the author did their research because her very aggresive behavior and view of the world fit very well with a victim of bullying.
It’s one of the main bevavior shield, aggresivity, passivity and dissociation.
I kind of wish she really did forget because it is visible that her memory are mostly pain.
And i’m sad for her mother who couldn t do anything but watch as her daughter grew more and more distant and aggresive.
