Am I the only one hopes that the Emperor and the Princess get their Karma. And I think there is more behind the main character family’s death.
Here is my therory: that the Emperor killed the duke’s wife to have him out of the way to get the Duke’s wealth, while binding the young Duke to the Princess or future Empress. However, he framed the main character’s family as traitors so he could kill off the main character. Because the Duke’s family and the main character family were close. The Emperor didn’t want an alliance between the two. Nor did the grand Duke to rise to power because he knew the grand Duke was the rightful heir to the empire.
