I understand her desire to call off the wedding, as really there’s a lot of miscommunication happening and she’s deep in grief. But I really wish they didn’t use “you didn’t show up to my father’s funeral which you had no idea about because you were following the King’s orders” as her final straw. She herself just chapters ago mentioned how she could hardly deny the Princess, how was he supposed to turn the King away? She also could have moved the date to when he returned, it ended up feeling like less of a desire to have him there and more a test he was destined to fail.
